This project delivered a contemporary laneway suite exterior using Hardie Plank and Hardie Panel fiber cement cladding, NewTechWood castellated fluted WPC wall panels and shiplap soffits, and custom Agway-fabricated metal window shrouds, all installed over a Blueskin air/vapour barrier. The material palette was carefully composed to balance durability, fire resistance, and bold architectural expression.

At the start of construction, the laneway suite structure and exterior material selections were already defined by the design team. Our role was to execute that vision with precision — coordinating multiple cladding systems, long-span metal shrouds, and detailed transitions to ensure performance, alignment, and clean visual outcomes.

The finished exterior features rich fiber cement cladding, warm composite wood accents at the entry and soffits, and bold gold metal window shrouds that frame the vertical window groupings with striking effect. The result is a highly architectural, contemporary laneway suite that blends classic materials with modern detailing — delivering standout curb appeal and a client who is extremely satisfied with the final result.

This project was a full exterior renovation completed through a collaborative design process with the homeowners. Using Hardie Plank fiber cement siding and Hardie Trimboard, enhanced with custom curved trim details, added polyisocyanurate exterior insulation, and finished with aluminum soffit, fascia, and rainware, the home received a durable, refined exterior that preserved its original character while significantly improving performance and long-term value.
The Oakdene Project
This project delivered a contemporary garden suite exterior using smooth-finish Hardie Plank fiber cement siding paired with clear cedar soffits for warmth and contrast. Installed over a high-performance wall assembly incorporating Blueskin air/vapour barrier and Rockwool exterior insulation, the exterior balances modern simplicity with durability, proper ventilation, and long-term performance.

This project was a complete front-façade transformation designed to maximize curb appeal and long-term value. Using Hardie board-and-batten and Hardie Plank fiber cement siding, paired with custom heavy-gauge steel fascia and parapet capping, we delivered a modern, high-performance exterior that looks premium today and is built to last — exactly what the homeowners were looking for.
